Meet the Partners of Turner Coulston
Sue Owens
I graduated from Greenwich University with a 2.1 Hons degree in law in 1994. I then went on to study at Nottingham Law School where I attained a Commendation in my Legal Practice Course.
I joined Turner Coulston in 1996 as an Articled Clerk and qualified as a solicitor in 1998. I was initially articled to the Senior Partner and covered a wide variety of legal matters mainly Commercial and Company. Since qualifying I concentrated on employment law until I moved to take over the running of the Kettering office in 2000.
Following the birth of my first child I returned to Kettering having been offered a full equity partnership. At Kettering I advised on a considerably wider range of issues but gradually, owing to the increased level of probate work and in particular contentious probate, I have focused more on Private Client issues specialising in Wills and Probate.
Recently I sat the exam to become a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly group in which I achieved a 100% mark. I am also a member of the Probate Section of the Law Society. I am involved in many charitable schemes to raise awareness for wills and money for charity at the same time. On average I have raised approximately £4,000 for Will Aid each year.
