Meet the Partners of Turner Coulston
Clare de Banke
Following completion of a Leicester University Degree in Law, History and Politics, I undertook two post-graduate Diplomas in Law at De Montfort University in Leicester.
I joined Turner Coulston in March 1999 as a trainee Solicitor and qualified with the firm in April 2001. Since qualification I have undertaken work mainly in the areas of Employment and Wills, Probate and Advising the Elderly. I became a Partner of the firm in August 2004.
Following my return to work from maternity leave in January 2007, I was asked to assume the role of Managing Partner in order to manage the day-to-day management of financial and administrative matters, drive the expansion of the Firm and also project manage the building of the extension to our Billing Road offices, the upgrading of our IT and staff relocations.
From January 2007 until June 2009 I continued to undertake some fee earning work alongside my management duties. However, in June 2009, the business required additional Partner input and management of a fledgling Finance Mis-Selling Department and I took up the reins. Since then I have had a rapid initiation into the world of civil litigation and the technicalities of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, carried a much increased caseload and continued with the challenge of being the Managing Partner.
